Granite
Granite is a natural stone formed between 3 billion and 750 million years ago, after molten magma cooled in the earth's crust. Granite is highly appreciated for its unique natural colour, structure and pattern. We have chosen the best varieties of granite from quarries all over the world in order to offer you an extensive range of products to choose from.
Granite is a totally natural product. It originates from a quarry, then is cut to size and polished, before being finally fitted in your kitchen. The standard level of thickness of our granite kitchen worktops is 30mm, but we do have certain varieties of granite available in 40mm, 20mm and 12mm levels of thickness.

Surface Finishes
Polished
This finish is smooth, shiny and reflective. The full colour, depth and crystal structure of the stone is completely visible, which can make for quite a beautiful addition to your home. A polished finish is recommended for vanities and kitchen worktops, as the process closes most of the surface pores and helps the surface to resist staining.
Flamed
Also known as a thermal finish, flamed granite involves a high intensity flame being applied to the surface of the stone. This causes the crystals to pop and results in a highly textured and rough surface with zero shine. Whilst this finish can be used indoors and outdoors with ease, it is recommended for swimming pool surrounds and other wet areas.
Honed
This finish is also smooth, but not reflective. Instead, it could have anything from a matte-like appearance to a low sheen. Some people prefer this finish because it is soft and natural looking. As such, it is recommended for floors, stairs and other areas where polish might make the surface too slippery and where foot traffic might where off a polished finish.
Leather
Leather finish is created when diamond-tipped brushes are moved across the surface which produces the look and feel of textured leather. Like a polished surface it is less porous and highlights the color.
